Best Wishes for 2025

Happy New Year to you all!

It has been a while since our last short news update (just over a year), but 2024 offered no formal residency sessions leaving art center operations to a bare minimum. We did however receive a few private visits which we were happy to fit in between horse competitions and renevation work. Looking forward to many applications and a busy residency season ahead.

Best Wishes for 2024

Best wishes for a Happy New Year to all our Baer alumni, friends and our many followers, near and far!

As you can see here on the homepage, the residency operations will be minimal for the summer of 2024. This is due to many factors, but mostly we will work on preparations for the next three residency seasons at Baer Art Center, in 2025, 2026 and 2027.

THE PLACE - A great success!

The first group exhibition hosted at Baer Art Center was truly a success! We were thrilled with the surprising amount of visitors from our local community and from all over the world who stopped by to view the beautiful exhibition created by the June 2022 resident artists. Two week residency session, with artist of different nationality and various artistic background. Number of participants per session is five.

We have not been so good about posting here on instagram over the past months, but hope to do better going forward.

During our off season, we used the time to redo the area around the art center, took our beautiful horses cross country to Reykjavík to compete at the big Landsmót event, hosted a few private groups and a big friends festival and harvested our fields.

This handsome group of wonderful artists is returning to BAER for their group exhibition which will open on Friday, August 4th at 16:00.
